Diana in her iconic "revenge dress"
- The dress Diana wore after her separation with Charles became known as "the revenge dress". It earned that nickname after she wore it to a Vanity Fair party the evening of Charles' interview, in which he admits adultery after the breakdown of the marriage.

- This episode features the infamous tampon phone call between Charles and Camilla (dubbed as "Camillagate" and "Tampongate"). Prior to casting for the third and fourth seasons, Josh O'Connor asked the producers if he would have to reenact the scene and was told it would not be included in the show.
- The amateur radio operator is using a Kenwood HF (shortwave) radio tuning to a 6Mhz frequency. European cell phones at that time used UHF 450Mhz frequencies.
- During the ending credits where Charles was showcasing his dance moves took place in 1985.
