Michael Shea CVO is a guest character in Season 4 of the Netflix series, The Crown.
He serves as Queen Elizabeth II's Press Secretary until 1987, when he's forced to resign after making unguarded comments about the tense relationship between the Queen and Margaret Thatcher.
He is succeeded by Robin Janvrin as Press Secretary.

- Michael Maloney, who played Edward Heath in Season 3, previously played Shea in the 2009 TV serial, The Queen. The episode featuring Shea, titled "The Rivals," covered the same events featured in 48:1 and also featured Clive Francis and Lesley Manville.[1]
