Margaret "Bobo" MacDonald LVO is a recurring character in Seasons 1 and 2 of the Netflix series, The Crown. She was Queen Elizabeth II's nanny and later her dresser and confidante. She is portrayed by Lizzy McInnerny.
Biography[]
She started off as a nursemaid to baby Elizabeth, and the two shared a bedroom until Elizabeth was 11 years old. Bobo and Elizabeth were such close friends that some say “Bobo” was Elizabeth’s first word. As the Elizabeth grew up and later became queen, Bobo went on to become her dresser. She served the Queen Elizabeth II for 67 years and in later years, when she no longer had any royal duties, she stayed in Buckingham Palace as simply the Queen’s personal friend. She died on September 22, 1993, in her suite at Buckingham Palace at the age of 89.
